Life is my duty

Lying on the chair in front of the table

I just imagined the days i had paper on my hand

And a piece of paper to drop my words out

Barren heart i hold today

with few words to spell out

Promises of future i made you days back

proves me a betrayer each day i wake up

no penny on pocket to put some smile on your face

neither a heart to fill up the poem with words

traveled on the path with a promise to never look back

Neither i can hold a glass of whisky

to lighten my heart just like i had once

Nor i can break the things in anger

Live there my old parents with hope

to see my happiness reach the peak

And you behind me

to see me smile with the beats of the life

Shuffling the pieces of the life

i walk each day to see few smiles around

Living with those smiles

keeps me alive to hope a better morning

This life is my duty

And i will keep moving to the peak

smiling with the beats of life
